Those decisions come from the consensus of the worldwide fellowship to issues and motions in the Conference Agenda Report (CAR), which will be released November 3rd. The Arkansas Delegate Team wants to give our Areas and members plenty of time to review, discuss, and build consensus together.\nHere’s the plan & why it matters:\n\nHistorically, CAR workshops have been presented at the February Regional Service Committee (RSC) meeting.\nThis year we’re starting earlier with virtual workshops so Areas, groups, and members have more time to digest the material.\nIf we act early, the Arkansas Region can even propose an amendment before the March 3rd deadline.\nIn February, our focus will be on gathering consensus from Areas—not trying to cram in first impressions.\n\nWhy attend the virtual workshop?\n\nRCMs, GSRs, and any member can join. The more people who hear the info together, the better the conversation—this sparks questions, builds clarity, and helps Areas and GSRs bring the best information back to their groups for a vote.\nIt’s especially helpful if an Area gathers their GSRs to attend together, so everyone hears the same information at the same time.\nThe Delegate Team will still be available for in-person workshops by request if an Area needs it—but we encourage everyone to use the virtual sessions first to make the best use of our time and resources.\n\nOur Regional Guidelines remind us that we use consensus to guide how our delegates vote at the WSC. If time doesn’t allow full consensus at the February RSC, RCMs will email their Area’s input so our Region’s voice is carried forward.\nDon’t wait! These workshops are our chance to be proactive, informed, and unified before important decisions are made in April and May. Come add your voice—you matter in shaping how Arkansas shows up at the World Service Conference.\n\nTL;DR: CAR is released Nov 3. Virtual workshops are happening early this cycle so we can discuss, propose amendments by Mar 3, and come to February RSC ready for consensus. All members are welcome. RCMs & GSRs should prioritize attending—preferably together.\n\n
